Why Certify? Presented by Dr. Alexander Alonso in partnership with LWHRA

The Washington State HR Council, in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), is pleased to announce that Dr. Alexander Alonso, VP of Research for SHRM, will be visiting Anchorage, Portland, and Washington State between March 7 – 10, 2016. To be sure Dr. Alonso’s presentations are as accessible as possible to local HR professionals, all three state councils in the Northwest will be hosting a presentation during his visit. During his visit to each location, Dr. Alonso will do a presentation about the value of certification for HR professionals.

Dr. Alonso’s presentations will discuss the research that led to the development of the SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge. He will also provide some compelling reasons why HR professionals would want to become certified.
